The Pittsburg Police Department in partnership with the Pittsburg Chamber of Commerce has formed the Pittsburg Business Watch. Our goal is to enhance communication between business owners and the police department as well as facilitate the exchange of information and ideas.

The Business Watch program will introduce and help implement crime prevention strategies and help maintain a safe and secure work environment. By using our resources we can address workplace safety issues specific to each business, educate management and employees in the recognition of crime risks and how to reduce if not eliminate them.

Through Crime Bulletins we will provide current crime information or trends that business owners should be aware of. Recently we notified businesses of a subject who was using a fraudulent credit card to purchase goods. This not only helps us in solving or deterring crime, but it saves your business from possible financial loss.

Meetings with businesses can be scheduled to discuss concerns or issues that may arise. The Pittsburg Business Watch program is based on partnerships and with the cooperation of our businesses we can work together to develop a safe and conducive environment for the City of Pittsburg.
