Neighborhood Clean-Up Program

To help reduce illegal dumping in Pittsburg, City employees and residents work together to conduct a one-day neighborhood clean-up. Residents in target neighborhoods are invited to reduce their waste and clean up their properties using dumpsters, dump trucks, and willing hands.

For more information about this program, contact Code Enforcement at (925) 252-4010.

Radar Trailers

Radar trailers are self-contained police radar units with large digital displays that are placed at locations where there have been complaints of excessive speed. The intention is to alert motorists of their speed, and give them a chance to correct their driving behavior.

If you want a trailer for your street, contact the Traffic Division at (925) 252-4106.

Neighborhood Watch Program

Neighborhood Watch is a shared responsibility and connection between the police and community. The goal is to make Pittsburg a safer, more livable city through crime prevention and problem solving strategies. It is part of the overall philosophy of Pittsburg's Community Policing. The program involves:

  • Neighbors getting to know each other and working together.
  • Implementing crime prevention techniques and strategies in homes and neighborhoods.
  • Helping to solve neighborhood problems through a partnership between you and your police department.
  • Learning about other public and private agencies that can be resources in helping to solve neighborhood problems.

If you would like information on how to join or form a Neighborhood Watch Group in your neighborhood, please visit our Neighborhood Watch Program information page or call (925) 252-4147.
