The Pittsburg Arts and Community Foundation presents "The Curtain Rises," a black-tie opening gala to celebrate the return of the California Theatre after its renovation.

Cocktail reception at 6 p.m., live show with local performers and the Junius Courtney Big Band begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $150 per person and are available at the Railroad Book Depot, Pittsburg Chamber of Commerce, Art Shack or by calling (925) 252-6930.
