Relay for Life is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs for your American Cancer Society. During the event, teams of people gather at Los Medanos College and take turns walking or running laps. Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times. Mayor Salvatore Evola, on behalf of the City Council, has issued a Proclamation declaring June 26 and 27, 2010 as "Relay for Life" Days and encouraging all to participate in this community event.
