All Business Licenses must be renewed annually at the beginning of the year with a deadline of January 31 and becomes delinquent as of the 1st of Feb. Flyers and important information and notices will be sent out prior to the beginning of the year.

General Information

IF YOU ARE NO LONGER DOING BUSINESS IN THE CITY OF PITTSBURG or NOT ANTICIPATING CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS IN PITTSBURG DURING THIS RENEWAL PERIOD - Send notification to businesslicense@pittsburgca.gov to close your account.

NEW OWNER – if you are the new owner of an existing business, the current license is NOT TRANSFERABLE. You must apply for a new license under your own name.

ADDRESS CHANGE – Within the City, business address changes require approval from the Planning and Building Departments. You must list a physical address. A Post Office Box address is acceptable as mailing address only.

GROSS RECEIPTS – based on an estimate or prior year gross receipts.
