On October 2, 2024, the Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) found the City’s 2023-2031 Housing Element to be in substantial compliance with State Housing Element Law.  The City Council adopted the Housing Element on August 5, 2024, following a multi-year process that included input from local residents, interested parties, and major stakeholders.  At its core, a Housing Element is an opportunity for all involved to address local housing challenges and find solutions.
