PHS Marching Show Band will benefit
from PEAHOF Annual Dinner on April 22
The Pittsburg High School ‘Pride of Pittsburg’ Marching Show Band will be the beneficiary along with the Pittsburg Entertainment & Arts Hall of Fame at PEAHOF’s third annual benefit dinner on Saturday, April 22 at the Elks Club (200 Marina Drive).
Tickets for the dinner are $55 ($50 for PEAHOF members) and tables for 10 for $500. This year’s dinner will be catered by La Veranda with main-course choices of Swai Picatta or Tri Tip with Mushroom Sauce. Vegetables and Polenta are included with the main course. Appetizers, salad, French bread and dessert will also be provided.
Pittsburg Community Theatre and the Pittsburg Community Band were beneficiaries at the first dinner. The Pittsburg Police Activities League shared in the proceeds last year.
This year’s dinner is to help raise funds for the band’s trip to Rome to participate in the Italian city’s 2018 New Year’s Day Parade.
“We are happy to help the band,” said PEAHOF President Ralph Ramirez. “Their trip to London left lasting impressions for band members as well as Londoners who saw them at the parade. We’re sure this year’s trip will be a positive experience, and we want to support the students in any way we can.”
Pittsburg High musicians will perform at the dinner.
