John Witherspoon is known for his work on Friday (1995), The Wayans Bros. (1995), and The Boondocks (2005). He was nominated for a BET Comedy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in The Tracy Morgan Show (2003). Witherspoon got his start doing stand-up comedy with legends such as Robin William, Jay Leno, and David Letterman (who became godfather to his two sons).
